The holiday season at Inner City began in mid- December when the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (ECOF) treated over 100 students and staff to a traditional Christmas dinner. This year the dinner was held in the new arena. Thanks to the EOCF staff and Board members and, to the players who joined us to sign autographs and spread good will among the students.
Then, later in the month just before we closed for Christmas break, Alicia, with the help of a few students prepared a Christmas dinner at the school with all the trimmings for everyone to enjoy. (See photo)
After the dinner we gathered in front of the Christmas tree where each student, thanks to the generosity of Edmonton community members, received a bag of gifts containing a few treats and a grocery card.
Each student also received a special gift from the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation.
We'd like to say thanks to everyone who helped make Christmas merry for everyone at Inner City.
